Give through Your IRA

If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your Traditional or Roth IRA to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania. Donors can transfer up to $100,000 per year without paying income taxes on the amount. These qualified charitable distributions can also count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and may simplify your tax return by excluding the gift from your reportable income—even if you don’t itemize deductions.
