Milk InitiativeAs a member of Feeding Pennsylvania, Second Harvest has partnered with the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association, Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, agricultural partners and business leaders to make milk accessible to the hungry.

But we need your help. There are many costs to acquiring, handling and distributing milk to the needy Pennsylvanians who seek help at the hundreds of community organizations across our service area. While this is a statewide initiative, we hope to bring fresh milk to the tables of families in the 11 counties of northwest Pennsylvania with the support of our many local volunteers and generous donors!

Milk has long been associated with good health: making bones and teeth stronger, reducing risks of various chronic diseases, building muscle and much more. That’s why we are committed to delivering one of Pennsylvania’s favorite beverages to our clients, who otherwise could not profit from milk’s beneficial nutrients.

Donate now! Each $1 donated = 5 servings of milk provided to families facing hunger
