The Second Harvest Marketplace is part of the Healthy Pantry Initiative and serves as a welcoming, food pantry for our neighbors facing hunger that looks and feels like a grocery store. It provides a walk-through shopping experience where individuals and families can select the foods that best fit their needs—just like at a grocery store. At no cost for those who income-qualify, neighbors can choose from fresh produce, meats, dairy items, and a variety of shelf-stable and frozen foods.
The Marketplace’s first location is inside the UPMC Health Plan Neighborhood Center. Through this partnership, we’re able to meet neighbors where they are—connecting them not only to nutritious food but also to a range of valuable community resources all in one convenient location.
The Marketplace is open to individuals, seniors, veterans, and families in need of food assistance by appointment only.
