The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania will hold a Produce Express for residents of Erie who are in need of food assistance on Tuesday, September 13th starting at 4:00 p.m. The Produce Express will be held at Second Harvest, 1507 Grimm Drive in Erie. Pre-registration is required for the event. Participants can pre-register by calling the food line at Second Harvest at (814) 459-3663 x 121 on Tuesday, September 6th.
The Produce Express program delivers a truckload of food for up to 200 struggling families in need where traditional food pantries are not available. By making fresh, healthy produce available to those who normally would not have access to it, Second Harvest and our partner agencies are working to encourage the community to eat healthier and make better nutritional choices. When available, Produce Express trucks also include other grocery items and non-food essentials.
Participation in the Produce Express is free. Proof of residency is required. Participants are asked to arrive NO EARLIER THAN 3:45 p.m.
